Sharjah24: "Al Qasimi Publications" issued Maria Anna Moreno's first illustrated book for children ages 6 to 9, "Ali, the Brave Kingfisher," to correspond with the commencement of the 13th Sharjah Children's Reading Festival (SCRF), with the theme "Create your own world."

In the first paragraph of the story, the author reveals that she enjoyed depicting the beautiful days she spent in Kalba, through the character of a kingfisher named "Ali," who fought to save his bird friends and set out on an exciting journey to save his species and find his missing friend.

Sharjah and the country as a whole are known for their pristine natural beauty, and this narrative attempt to teach youngsters about how important it is to preserve their environment.
