Sharjah 24 – KUNA: Eid Al-Fitr symbolizes commitment to humanistic ideals, charity and mercy, said Russian President Vladimir Putin Monday.

In a cable published on the Russian Presidency website, Putin congratulated Muslims on Eid Al Fitr, praising the contribution of Muslims in Russia to promoting peace and harmony in the Russian society and preserving cultural pluralism.

For his part, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stressed the importance of highlighting the charitable activities carried out by Muslims, such as the keenness to help the needy, moral guidance, education directed at younger generations, and preservation of traditions and ideals.
