Throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan, "Sharjah 24" takes you on a historical tour of Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi Centre halls, revealing Al Qasimi Centre's precious holdings in nine episodes on Sundays and Wednesdays.

In this episode, we review a rare Andalusian sultan chair, from the Nasrid period, in Granada, during the 15th-16th century AD.

This chair was made of a mixture of ivory, bone, silver and various solid woods, inspired by chairs reserved for prominent government figures, which became popular in the Near and Middle East, as is familiar in Europe from the beginning of the Renaissance.
