Sharjah 24: The Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club concluded, within the agenda of its Ramadan activities, the Shaabiyat Tournament of Mleiha, organised for the first time in its headquarters by inviting the youth of the Shaabiyat to participate in the cultural and sports competitions.

The idea of the Shaabiyat Tournament in Mleiha came with the aim of inviting the youth of the Shaabiyat to participate in a cultural and sports tournament, coincided with the club’s vision in inviting the people of the region to visit the club based on the aspirations of the Sharjah Sports Council in taking care of culture and sports.

The tournament was distinguished by the presence of a number of Shaabiyat teams to represent their regions through the formation of a three-member team that bore the name of Al Shaabiah and competed in a number of cultural questions about Mleiha , in addition to displaying different sports skills.

Fifteen questions were presented that varied between the UAE national, cultural, geographical and artistic information about Mleiha. In addition to various questions about tolerance and about the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, while organising sports competitions in football and basketball and shooting arrows among the participants.

At the end of the event, Abdullah Salem Al Khasooni Al Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club, honoured the winners.
