Sharjah24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) continues its efforts to implement the best international standards and specifications in its fields of work. As part of its efforts to achieve excellence, the Authority’s Water Department obtained the ISO 9001/2015 quality certificate, as a culmination of its efforts to develop and enhance customer satisfaction and reduce procedures and processing time, contributing in keeping pace with the changes and the cultural and economic renaissance witnessed by the Emirate of Sharjah under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Engineer Faisal Al Serkal, Director of the Water Department, stressed that the application of standard specifications at work through this sector aims at development through the use of the latest administrative and technological methods in management, as well as rehabilitating human beings at the highest levels.

He pointed to the importance of applying quality systems in various technical and administrative departments, stressing that obtaining the ISO 9001/2015 quality certificate, comes as a result of the efforts of all workers to improve performance, adhere to the highest standards and gain experience with global specifications, thanking the efforts of all the employees in the Authority.

He explained that water management relies on a set of procedures and processes that focus on achieving the quality policy and its objectives to meet the needs of customers in accordance with the required conditions and adopting a thinking methodology by anticipating risks and taking the necessary measures for them.

He added, that the water management plan includes raising the level of employees, developing their awareness, developing their skills in the field of quality, and defining their specifications.
