SCCI concludes participation in Annual Investment Forum 2022

Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) successfully concluded its participation in the Annual Investment Forum 2022, which took place at SCCI's pavilion at the Dubai Exhibition Centre at “Expo 2020 Dubai” from March 29-31, during which the Chamber highlighted the ideal environment, investment incentives, as well as existing and future projects across various sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah.
SCCI conducted a series of fruitful meetings with the heads of participating Arab and international delegations, most notable among them being between His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI, and His Excellency Mohamed Bin Obaid Al Mazrooei, Chairman of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), in the presence of His Excellency Waleed AbdelRahman Bukhatir, Second Deputy Chairman of the SCCI.

Participants stressed the importance of coordinating efforts to provide more incentives and facilities to the private sector, as well as strengthening cooperation to take advantage of agricultural land investment opportunities available in several Arab countries as means to enhance Arab food security.

Speaking after the culmination of their endeavor, the SCCI Chairman maintained, "It was a fruitful participation, through which we sought to strengthen cooperation relations with many Arab and foreign countries, chambers of commerce and industry, institutions, economic bodies, and investment promotion agencies. We also highlighted Sharjah's investment climate and the facilities it provides to investors and businessmen. In addition, we shed new light on the nature and quality of the SCCI's services to the business community, as well as its role in the development of their businesses."

Furthermore, His Excellency Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, also met with Her Excellency Ahlam Madani Mahdi Sabeel, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation of Sudan, and His Excellency Ahmed Abdel Rahman, the Consul General of Sudan in Dubai.

In view of the beneficial and constructive cooperation between the two fraternal countries, the meeting focused on methods to strengthen bilateral economic relations and measures to expand the role of the industrial, commercial, and agricultural sectors.

The two sides also exchanged views on how to benefit from the expertise available on each side, in order to contribute to the establishment of collaborative investment ventures.
