SEDD honours UoS Fine Arts and Design College students

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) honoured number of outstanding projects by students from Fine Arts and Design College (CFAD) at the University of Sharjah. The projects fall within the college programme to provide a plan of interior design of SEDD administrative offices by the students.
The honouring ceremony was held in the presence of Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, honourees, members of the faculty staff at the college, and several SEDD officials and employees.

SEDD Chairman said that such cooperation comes in line with the wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who emphasises on the important role of youth in preserving society and its development and building its future. He added that this desired development requires creative and innovative minds and energies inspired by experiences and exploring the potential of the present towards anticipating the future. He pointed out that SEDD’s vision is to lead the comprehensive development process to attain competitive diversified and innovative knowledge-based economy.

Prof. Nadia Mahdi Al Hassani, Dean of Fine Arts and Design College at University of Sharjah, said that this cooperation contributed to achieving the college's orientation to support students' skills, prepare them for the requirements of the labour market and refine their talents and creative abilities through the study of realistic designs.
