Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club participates in Sharjah Heritage Days

Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club organises a series of events that meet the club goals and policies aiming to reach the community, as part of the activities of the Sharjah Heritage Days in the city of Dibba Al Hisn.
The participation gained great momentum and remarkable admiration from all circles, as a result of the club's keenness to introduce the Emirati heritage to the different generations.

Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club presented an exhibition in the heritage village in Dibba Al Hisn, with a great turnout of cultural, sports and artistic figures and the public, citizens and residents of many nationalities and age groups.

The exhibition included paintings telling the history of the club from its foundation, in 1980, under the name of Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club.  It also included pictures of the heads and members of the club’s board of directors for 17 sessions, pictures of a number of the club’s teams in the past and old films about the club achievements and development.

The exhibition includes an awareness aspect on electricity and water rationalisation and its importance to the sustainability and quality of life, as part of the clubs race for rationalisation launched by the Sharjah Sports Council.

The club will organise a lecture on Sunday, 20th of March, presented by the writer, Mr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, a member of the Board of Directors of Dibba Al Hisn Club, and Mr. Mohammed Rashid Rashoud Al Hamoudi, Vice-Chairman of the Club’s Cultural and Community Committee.

The club’s pavilion was visited by delegations and personalities, most notably Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Chief of the Sharjah Ruler's Office in Kalba, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Head of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, and sports and artistic figures, including Bakhit Saad, Ismail Rashid, Fahd Abdul Rahman Hassan Saeed and Ali Al Khawar, in addition to the heads and members of the Dibba Al Hisn Club Council.

It is expected that Dibba Al Hisn Club will participate in the Sharjah Heritage Days on March 23 and 24, at the Sharjah Sports Council pavilion.
