Sharjah24: The Public Utilities Committee of Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) met in the presence of a number of council members who submitted a request to discuss the policy of Department of the Town Planning and Survey (DTPS) and discussed the status of the most important topics for discussion of the department.

His Excellency Obaid Awad Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Committee, presented the results of the committee’s recent visit to the department, and it met with His Excellency Eng. Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi, head of the department and his senior staff assistants, and he touched on the topics that were discussed and acquainted with the most important policies and programmes of the department in all fields, the most important of which are the department’s vision and aspects of planning the urban area of the Emirate of Sharjah until 2042.

They discussed what the Department aims at in terms of works and projects in the areas of comprehensive planning that take into account the urban expansion in the Emirate of Sharjah and what it has accomplished in terms of the extended housing plan and the allocation of lands to those who are eligible.

During the preparation of the topics, they reviewed the importance of the department's continuous and continuous endeavor to provide survey information and accurate and comprehensive aerial photography of the Emirate of Sharjah, in addition to what the department is doing in terms of settling rights and compensation for the affected lands.
