Sharjah24: Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba inaugurated, on Monday, the activities of the 19th edition of the Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD) in the city of Dibba Al-Hisn. The Sharjah Institute for Heritage on Monday organised a massive celebration on the occasion of the launch of the activities of the 19th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days in the Heritage Village in Dibba Al-Hisn.

The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba, His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Abdulrahman Almusallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, in the presence of several dignitaries and a number of heads and directors of government departments.

Dr. Khalid bin Jamee’a Al-Handasi, director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage branch in Dibba Al-Hisn, said that a large number of government departments are participating in the events that will continue until March 20.

In statements to “Sharjah 24”, he added that the heritage village includes many pavilions for marine and agricultural environments, in addition to an interactive corner, a children's village, and a pavilion for productive families and traditional crafts.

He has highlighted the remarkable events and many carnival and heritage performances, attracting a large number of audience who enjoy various heritage competitions and folk songs.
