Sharjah24: A delegation of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), headed by Ali Mehad Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Council, accompanied by the Vice-President of the Council, Hanan Al Jarwan, along with other heads and members of the Council, visited the Holy Quran Academy (HQA), where Sheikh Sherzad Taher, Secretary-General of the Academy, received the delegation.

Sherzad briefed the delegation on the Academy, its purposes, its activities, in addition to its sections and rare collectibles.

Sherzad stressed that the complex, thanks to the directives and unlimited support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has continued to play a leading role in serving the Holy Quran and its sciences.

Sherzad praised the visit of the Council as part of its visiting programme to government institutions in Sharjah to enhance the performance of institutions.

Ali Meihd Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the SCC, praised the role of the Academy in spreading the words of God to the world and praised its interest in Arab and Islamic culture and the teachings of the Holy Qur'an.

Al Suwaidi also praised Dr. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, President of the Academy, and Sheikh Sherzad, for their efforts.

After the tour, Al Suwaidi chaired a meeting of the Council's office, held at the HQA. They reviewed the various work of the Council's committees and what they have achieved and discussed their plans for the coming period.
