Sharjah24: The Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah (HQA) received a new and unique set of rare ancient manuscripts dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries Hijri, as a gift from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Sheikh Sherzad Abdulrahman Taher, Secretary-General of the HQA, expressed his gratitude to his Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his keenness and follow-up on the activities of the Academy.

He stressed that the HQA will soon launch an electronic platform containing all manuscripts and artifacts that the Academy holds, to become available to scientists, researchers, and academics from all over the world.

He explained that the new collection includes manuscripts written in several non-Arab Islamic countries, such as Afghanistan and some countries in East Asia, and throughout ancient eras such as the Mughal era.

Sheikh Sherzad added that these collections of Qur’ans and manuscripts are proof of the greatness of Islamic civilization, and also represent an important stage in the history of our Islamic nation.
