Al Jassem: Important discoveries show settlement in Jebel Faya

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Sabah Aboud Al Jassim, Director General of Sharjah Archaeology Authority (SAA), stressed the importance of the new discoveries in Jebel Faya cave, which revealed repeated human settlement in southern Arabia, 210 thousand to 120 thousand years ago.
His Excellency Dr. Sabah Aboud Al Jassim added that studies indicated the ability of humans to adapt in different climatic conditions.
 
The Director General of Sharjah Archaeology Authority revealed the latest scientific discoveries made by researchers, which indicate repeated human settlement in Jebel Faya region, in the central region of Sharjah, between 210 thousand and 110 thousand years ago.
 
Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, His Excellency Dr. Sabah Aboud Al Jassim explained that in 2009, researchers reached the oldest human settlement in southern Arabia, in Jebel Faya region.
