Sharjah 24: Sharjah Lights Festival 2022 continues to amaze visitors with picturesque light shows that adorn the buildings of Sharjah, embodying the history of Sharjah's development and future visions, in illustrated stories that celebrate the ancient Islamic heritage characterising the architecture of the buildings in the heart of the emirate.
The festival sites receive visitors during weekdays to enjoy performances from 6 to 11 pm, and during the weekend from 6 pm to 12 midnight. Shows will continue until February 20, in all locations, across the emirate, including three architectural edifices adorned with artistic panels of lights embodying Sharjah achievements and future, such as Al Majaz Waterfront, the Noble Quran Academy, and the University City Hall in Sharjah.

Al Majaz Waterfront is adorned with an innovative show called the “Festival Gallery”, which shows the latest advanced technologies in light shows reflecting geometric shapes and twinkling lights on Khalid Lake. The show aims to highlight the people, places and achievements that Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates have achieved in the past and present, and those that will be achieved in the future.

The show dedicated to the “Holy Quran Academy” is entitled “The Language of Immortality,” reflecting the architectural beauty of the Noble Quran Academy, with Islamic shapes and Arabic Calligraphy.

In the University City Hall, the “Swirl of Light” show depicts the successive stages of life in the ancient past of Sharjah, as the hall embodies the great interest that the emirate attaches to education and heritage, and highlights the importance of the sea and the library in the life cycle. The performances also reflect the wise vision of Sharjah leadership that laid the foundations of Sharjah over the past fifty years highlighting the most important achievements of the emirate in the fields of education, arts, astronomy, architecture, communication and environment.
