Sharjah 24: Darrin Zammit Lupi, Reuters photojournalist based in Malta, was recognised as Independent Freelance Photojournalist Award runner-up for his body of work titled, ‘Rescue in the Mediterranean’. The first place went to van Abreu, a filmmaker, photographer and multimedia journalist from Brazil.

He shared his experiences with Xposure’s audience at the Conservation Summit held under the theme “Saving Our Occeans.”

Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, Darrin Zammit Lupi expressed delight over Xposure’s decision to  to exhibit his portfolio, saying that  it helps reach a wider audience, perhaps in the region of the world where it is not so seen so much.

He concluded “It is such an honour to be at Xposure. It is an incredible festival, and I’m delighted to be here.”
