SCC approves its recommendations on Department of Housing

Sharjah24: Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) approved its recommendations regarding the policy of the Department of Housing in the Government of Sharjah, during its ninth session, which was held at its headquarters in the city of Sharjah, as part of its work for its third regular session of the tenth legislative term.
The session was chaired by His Excellency Ali Mehd Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SCC.

The council’s work began with the ratification of the minutes of the eighth session, after which the council discussed a parliamentary question submitted by the member, Mohammed Ali Al Hammadi, directed to Sharjah Municipality about the efforts made to contain the phenomenon of water accumulation during the rainy season afterwards.

Then the council discussed its recommendations regarding the policy of the Department of Housing in the Emirate of Sharjah and the report submitted by the committee to prepare the draft recommendations. His Excellency Muhammad Ali Al-Naqbi, the rapporteur of the committee to prepare the draft recommendations, went up on the podium and recited the draft recommendations and reviewed.

The members of the Council discussed the provisions of the recommendations and addressed a number of important thesis included in the recommendations

At the conclusion of the members’ discussions, they approved their recommendations regarding the discussion of the housing department’s policy, which called in its entirety to open the way for a larger number of banks to participate in financing government housing projects by facilitating the owners of housing loans to choose between a larger number of banks while encouraging real estate developers and banks to participate in government housing programmes.

At the end of the session, the Secretary-General of the Council, Ahmed Saeed Al-Jarwan, announced that the next session the tenth will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, and its topic will be to discuss the policy of the Sharjah Sports Council.
