Sharjah24: The International Photography Festival (Xposure) will kick off on February 9 at Expo Centre Sharjah.

Organised by Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), the event, which is considered the largest event in photography in the Middle East, will last till February 15.

Alia Al Suwaidi, Director of SGMB, explained, during her exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24” that the International Ocean Conservation Summit will be held at the festival for the first time, under “To Save The Oceans” slogan, to raise awareness of the oceans pollution. Also, for the first time, the winners’ names of the "Independent Freelance Photojournalist Award" festival will be announced, besides the winners of the annual Xposure International Photography Awards.

She added that the festival will host seventy of the world's finest photographers, and will organise dialogue sessions, artistic evaluation sessions, and other events.
