Sharjah 24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the activities of the 6th edition of the Arab Poetry Festival, organised by the House of Poetry in Kairouan, were launched from 24 to 26 December 2021.

The activities were launched in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, and several dignitaries 

The ceremony began with the inauguration of a photo exhibition of the various activities organised by the House of Poetry in Kairouan, with introducing some of the poetry publications that the Sharjah Department of Culture issued. Then, a video presentation on the march of the House of Poetry in Tunisia was presented.

For his part, His Excellency Rashid Al-Mansoori, the UAE ambassador to Tunisia, praised the initiative of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to establish houses of poetry in the Arab world. He also lauded the role of the House of Poetry in Kairouan in promoting cultural movement throughout Tunisia.
