Wide participation at volleyball training camp in Sharjah

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) launched the training camp’s volleyball programmes on December 17, in cooperation with the American Consulate.
150 coaches and 480 players, all from Sharjah’s clubs, in addition to five of the most prominent experts and coaches from the United States, joined the camp.

The American staff gave a general lecture on the first day at the Culture Palace in Sharjah, in the presence of Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the SSC, along with other officials in the field of sports.

On December 18, 50 coaches and 30 female players were given a  lecture on volleyball at Sharjah Women’s Sports and Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club (MCSC).

the activities continue on December 19 and 20 with training sessions for early adolescence division and teenagers division "B" at Sharjah Women's Sports and the MCSC.

The program will conclude on Tuesday, December 21, with training sessions for teenagers division “A” and junior division.

Issa Hilal indicated that cooperating with the American Consulate to hold the volleyball training camp represents the council’s keenness to support and develop coaches and players in Sharjah, in line with the limitless support and of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council.

He added that coaches play a vital role in creating the essence of leadership in young sportsmen and sportswomen through theoretical and practical training that refine and develop their capabilities and skills.
