Al Hamriyah Municipality participates in 10th Dawahi Festival

Sharjah24: Al Hamriyah Municipality is participating in the activities of the 10th Dawahi Festival of the Sharjah Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs (SDSVA), as part of its participation within the pavilions of the municipalities of the central region of the Emirate of Sharjah, being specialized in introducing the marine environment.
During its activities, Al Hamriyah Municipality will introduce various events to enhance the visitors’ and the public’s knowledge about the country’s heritage.

With the aim of integrating roles with the municipalities of the central region, Al Hamriyah Municipality will shed light on the Emirati desert environment.

His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriya Municipality confirmed that the participation of Al Hamriyah Municipality in the activities of the 10th Dawahi Festival translates the Municipality's keenness to integrate its roles with all the institutions, especially the District and Village Affairs Department, promoting the social cohesion and instilling an atmosphere of love and happiness among family members.

He pointed out that the municipality's pavilion provides practical explanations about the life in the past, introducing the people to the types of fishing and its arts in the past, in line with Al Hamriya Municipality’s distinguished role.

For his part, Salem Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of the Institutional Interaction Department in Al Hamriya Municipality, has lauded the efforts of the work teams specialised in organising and managing the event during the Municipality’s participation in the activities of 10th Dawahi Festival. He added that the Municipality was keen to simulate the environment of the city of Al Hamriya, within its participation in the activities of the 10th Dawahi Festival , highlighting the importance of organizing an integrated marine exhibition that contains all the heritage tools used in the marine environment.

Salem Obaid Al Shamsi revealed the launch of a program that aims to organise direct meetings with the public of senior citizens visiting the festival, who practiced the profession of fishing in the sea, building pathways for young people to know more about the seniors’ efforts exerted in the past.
