Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF) will launch the fourth edition of the annual art book fair "Focal Point", on Thursday, at Bait Obaid Al Shamsi in Sharjah's Arts Square.

All kinds of publications from artists' books, scholarly works, journals with illustrations, and illustrated magazines from the Middle East and North Africa are on display at this year's edition.

For the first time since the its inception, the fourth edition will feature a programme of dialogue sessions held in the flying saucer building. These sessions will serve as a communication platform for publishers, distributors, technical experts, knowledge producers, graphic designers, writers, journalists, and editors to discuss a variety of recent publications devoted to the arts or to in-depth studies of influential artists.

The general programme for this year also includes the debut of a number of new books.
