The 50th celebration train lands in Wadi Al Helu

Sharjah24: The train of celebrations for the fiftieth anniversary of UAE National Day landed on Monday in the Wadi Al Helu area, where the Sharjah Committee for the National Day celebrations, in coordination with the Municipal Council and the Kalba Municipality, organised a massive carnival celebration.
Saif Khamis Al Mazrouei, coordinator of the Wadi Al Helu celebrations, told “Sharjah 24” that the celebration was held in the presence of Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba, and a crowd of officials, families and citizens from neighboring cities and regions.

The event, which was held in the heritage village in Wadi Al Helu, began with the national anthem and an opening speech on behalf of the people of the region, and included a lyric operetta entitled "Between the Past and the Present".

Al Mazrouei added that the ceremony included a performance of falcons, various poetry sessions, another operetta entitled "In Love for Fifty", a play entitled "A Dialogue between the Past, Present and the Future", a Taekwondo show, and various folkloric dances.
