Sharjah24: Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah International Charity, attended Al Qasimia University (AQU) celebration on UAE National Day.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Awwad Al-Khalaf, Acting Director of Al Qasimia University, members of academic and administrative staff of the university, and a large group of invitees, and students. 

The celebrations began with a march led by the motorbike team and the military band played the National Anthem, where university professors and guests joined the march. The march witnessed the launch of the museum bus, pavilions of the heritage village and handicrafts, in addition to the student art exhibitions.

The programme included an exhibition of plastic arts and photographs produced by talented university students, in addition to a display of paintings. 

Prof. Dr. Awwad Al-Khalaf, Acting Director of the University, delivered a speech where he conveyed the highest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE, his Vice President and Crown Prince, his brothers the rulers of the Emirates, and His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah on the 50th UAE National Day. 

At the end of the ceremony, Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad bin Khalid Al Qasimi and Prof. Dr. Awad Al Khalaf honoured the participants in the ceremony and the winners of the competitions of the Deanship of Student Affairs on that occasion.
