Al Naqbi: Fire Protection Engineering Programme launched at AUS

Sharjah24: His Excellency Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defense, and Dr. Suzan Mam, Director of the American University of Sharjah, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to launch an academic training program, the first of its kind at the level of the state and the Middle East, in the field of fire protection engineering.
In exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24”: His Excellency Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defense, said this programme is the first of its kind in the state and the Middle East for engineers, consultants and engineering experts working in the building engineering sectors, and private companies working in the field of preventive safety and the construction sector. and petroleum companies, in addition to the students of the College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah receiving training on the latest procedures followed in the field of safety and fire engineering, and access to internship opportunities to hone their skills and prepare them for the labor market. The terms of the agreement also include the opportunity for both parties to participate in safety and fire safety and fire events, discussion sessions, exhibitions and conferences.
  
Colonel Al Naqbi added that this agreement "comes in fulfillment of the principles of the fiftieth year by investing in human capital in terms of developing education, maintaining specialisations and continuous building of skills. This programme is considered the first programme offered at the state level, similar to international universities, to benefit from it in the future in maintaining preventive safety.”
