Sharjah24: His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, witnessed Monday morning, the launch of the “Obstacles Fitness and Challenge” game, which included swimming, running and 5 stations for fitness and endurance.

This comes as a continuation of the activities of the 50 sports initiative, which was launched to coincide with the country's celebrations of its golden jubilee, organised by the Sports and Social Activities Department of Media and Public Relations Department at Sharjah Police General Headquarters, which will last for five months in a row.

The event witnessed exciting competitions, and a clear enthusiasm among the players, with the participation of 10 teams from different police departments in the leadership, and the number of participants reached 60 participants.

After the results were counted, the participation resulted in the team of the General Department of Police Operations winning the first place, while the team of the Academy of Police Sciences won the second place, and the team of the General Administration of Central Operations taking the third place.

His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, honoured the top three winners, stressing the keenness of the Sharjah Police General Command to contain the various sporting events that aim at the security man’s adoption of a healthy lifestyle that is guaranteed by practicing sports on a daily basis to maintain a high level of health.

On the sidelines of the event, the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police honoured Al Hamriyah Municipality as one of the effective and cooperating partners in the success of the tournament, represented by Ahmed Al Suwaidi.
