Sharjah24 : Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the third edition of Sharjah Kalba Arabian Horse Festival was launched on Thursday.

In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24” Hassan Saif Al Zaabi, Assistant Director of the Festival,  revealed that 265 horses from various studs participated in the festival organised by the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club.

He affirmed that the festival lasts for 3 days on the shores of Kalba, where the competitions are limited to horses of the age of 3 years, pointing out that the competitions on the first and second days include 6 daily runs, in addition to two rounds on the final day before the finals for the qualified horses.

Al Zaabi praised the huge turnout attending the first day of the festival, wishing all the best for the festival in attracting larger number of audience in the upcoming days .
