Jawaher Al Qasimi: ‘Family, Child’ Sharjah’s progression compass

Sharjah 24: Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, affirmed that since the progress inception of Sharjah, “family” has been the compass that leads to providing the best to the community.
Held on Wednesday, The Child Safety Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, organised the Child Safety Forum 2021, at  Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, with the participation of More than 100 representatives of federal and local government departments concerned with child and family affairs, educational, cultural and societal issues, as well as several media professionals and journalists in the UAE.

"Children have always been the core of our programmes and initiatives that enhance their talent, develop them intellectually, teach them about the Emirati culture, and protect their dignity and rights. Childhood is an innocent world brimming with imagination and emotions, and it is a delicate stage of human life in which the personality of the individual is formed," Sheikha Jawaher said during the opening ceremony of the Forum.

Sheikha Jawaher stressed that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, is keen to make Sharjah be a safe haven for children to develop their personality and aspirations.

She added that the Forum is an approach that to be fully prepared in addressing everything that might affect the safety and security of children by extracting the knowledge from specialised security expertise and raising the level of awareness among families about the importance of following up with children.

“We rely on the outcomes of this forum to raise societal awareness and determine the responsibilities that fall on everyone, whether an individual or an institution, to be the optimal reference for everything related to child security and protection from various forms of violations and abuse at a local and regional level,” Sheikha Jawaher said.
