Al Qasimia Advisory Board of CEM reviews achievements

Sharjah 24: The Advisory Board of the College of Economics and Management (CEM) at Al Qasimia University stressed the importance of its roles and the needed support within the framework of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of Al Qasimia University in developing the quality of education and educational outcomes.
The Advisory Board pointed out that plans are in line with the vision of Al Qasimia University towards higher goals in advancing scientific research and qualifying and enabling graduates to have the expertise and skills to deal with the developments and challenges of the age.

The meeting was held by the Advisory Board in the House of Wisdom in Sharjah yesterday morning, and was chaired by His Excellency Salem Yousef Al Qaseer, Chairman of the Labour Standards Development Authority (SLSDA), Chairman of the Council, and in the presence of the members of the Board, His Excellency Shatha Saeed Alai Al Naqbi, Member of the Federal National Council, and Her Excellency Magda Ali Rashid, Director Executive Director of the Real Estate Investment Promotion and Management Sector in Dubai, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Abdul Rahman Al Khaja, Chairman of Brain Group of Companies, Dr. Muhammad Al Shami, Dean of the College, and Dr. Adam Bin Abdullah, Head of the Economics Department at the College.

His Excellency Salem Yousef Al Qaseer, Chairman of the Board, welcomed the members of the Advisory Board, praising the great support and interest the University received from His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, to keep the University at the forefront of universities and a destination for all students from different countries of the world.

His Excellency Salem Yousef Al Qaseer pointed out that the Board will work to achieve the university's strategy and develop the different roles to develop the academic career of the college in general. 

Al Qaseer explained the importance of upgrading the college in new programmes, scientific research, and supporting the college's activities.

In turn, Dr. Muhammad Al Shami, Dean of CEM College, praised the follow-up of His Excellency Prof. Awad Al-Khalaf, Acting President of Al-Qasimia University, and stressed the importance of CEM achievements during the last stage in attracting highly qualified faculty members, as well as the college’s advanced level in scientific research, technological transformation in the educational process and utilisation of the infrastructure at Al Qasimia University in building a hybrid model in the education system, and the use of modern and advanced teaching methods.

Al-Shami touched on the importance of concerted efforts between the college and all the different sectors to achieve the college’s vision stemming from the Al Qasimia University strategy to develop educational outcomes, to benefit from practical training opportunities whereas college students will be qualified to join the labour market.
