Sharjah 24: Sharjah Sports Council celebrated the opening of the first edition of the Kalba Beach Games 2021 held under the generous patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

Kalba Beach Games 2021 includes seven games and will continue until November 20.

The opening ceremony was announced by Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Chief of Sharjah Ruler’s Office in Khorfakkan, attended by Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler’s Office in Kalba, Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, representatives of the participating federations and clubs, and a large audience who interacted enthusiastically with the ceremony.

Abdul Malik Jani, Chairman of the Organising Committee for the session, delivered a speech in which he greeted the attendees and participants, and praised the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi for the session. 

He said that Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi sponsorship provided success from the first moment, whereas coordination and cooperation were at the highest level between institutions, federations and clubs involved in organising the Games, which encourages the organising committee in the future to expand its activities.

He added that Kalba Beach Games 2021 is the first in the Asia, whereas seven beach games will be held at once. 

Abdul Malik Jani concluded his speech by wishing all the participants success, and called on the public to enjoy the tournament's competitions and the accompanying events.
