SSSD receives medical devices from SHA for senior citizens

Sharjah24: The Center for the Elderly Services of the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) received a voluntary contribution in kind from the Sharjah Health Authority (SHA), consisting of 70 of the blood glucose monitors and another 70 blood pressure monitors, targeting to benefit of the center’s employees of senior citizens.
Commenting on this, Kholoud Abdullah Al Ali, director of the Elderly Services Center in the Social Services Department in Sharjah expressed her thanks and appreciation, lauding the humanitarian initiative of the Sharjah Health Authority, stressing SHA’s keenness to ensure providing the needed medical equipment.

She indicated that the center will help the elderly citizens on the two devices usage with the assistance of specialised nursing team, emphasising that the number of beneficiaries of home care services reached about 3,845 senior citizens at the level of the cities of the Emirate of Sharjah.

At the conclusion of her speech, Al Ali stressed the importance of social cohesion and solidarity among members of the Emirati society.
