Sharjah24: The Cultural and Media Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA)in Sharjah organised a symposium "The Role of Publications in Social Institutions", on the sidelines of its participation in the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2021, where Aisha Al Ajel moderated the session and host Ghada Jumaa from Sharjah Electricity and Water and Gas Authority, Hayat Al Ali from the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority, and Maryam Al Sharaf from the Family Development Centers.

Maryam Al Sharaf emphasised that publications are an integral part of the family development centers' work, as it divided into three departments, the Department of Family Guidance, and Research, Studies, Programs and Events. She affirmed that the department constantly highlights the message and objectives of each department, and constantly conducts opinion polls. She continued her speech by affirming that the publications and awareness brochures are among the most important means that the centers follow to deliver its message.
