Sharjah Club a champion of Emirati-Korean Taekwondo Friendship

Sharjah 24: The Taekwondo team of Sharjah Sports Club retained the title of the Emirati-Korean Friendship Taekwondo Championship for the fifth time in a row, in the championship hosted by Sharjah Club.
The Taekwondo men team won 15 medals, placing them at the top ranking of the tournament with 6 gold medals and one bronze. Also, The youth team won 5 gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze. 

The tournament was attended by Kwon Young-woo, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the UAE, Khaled Issa Al Midfa, Assistant Secretary-General of the General Sports Authority, Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, President of the Taekwondo Federation, Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Club, and Suleiman Al Hajri, Head of the Individual Sports Department in Sharjah Club.

Suleiman Al Hajri explained that winning the championship for the fifth time in a row translates the developments done by the Individual Sports Department in the club, with the support of the Club’s board of directors.

Al Hajri thanked the Sharjah Sports Council for its constant support in the field of individual sports.
