Al Shamsi receives a security delegation from Expo 2020

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Major General Saif Al-Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, in the presence of Brigadier Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, received a security delegation from Expo 2020, headed by Colonel Ali Khalifa Al Ghais, Chief Executive Officer of Security for Expo 2020, at Sharjah Police Sciences Academy headquarters.
Major General Al Shamsi welcomed the visiting delegation, praising the important role played by the Expo security in coordinating with police commands and sectors of the Ministry of Interior regarding security plans, preparations and qualifying staff involved in securing Expo 2020.

The meeting reviewed the security strategy in relation to securing and supporting Expo 2020, and a presentation of the Expo facilities. The meeting also included the launch of the Officers’ Skills Development Programme as an initiative of the Sharjah Police Youth Council, aiming at developing the skills of young people by enrolling them in an intensive training programme in the Expo, and making a direct contact with on site experienced staff. The programme aims to support this global event and achieve the desired goal through concerted efforts.

At the end of the meeting, Major General Al Shamsi praised the professional efforts and readiness in securing the Expo; and using modern technologies in security plans.

Colonel Ali Khalifa Al Ghais extended his thanks to the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, appreciating the existing cooperation between the Security Department at the Expo and the Sharjah Police, praising the efforts of the Sharjah Police and youth who joined the training programme.
