Sharjah 24: Dr. Ahmed Farouk, Chair of the Public Relations Department at the University of Sharjah (UoS)’s College of Communication, presented, on Sunday, a training workshop entitled "Government Communication: Factors for Building Trust and Participation", as part of the activities of the tenth edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF).

Dr. Ahmed Farouk stated that the workshop discussed how government communication could achieve trust in the information and news it provides to an audience that needs credible information.

In statements to "Sharjah 24", he maintained that the public needs the news quickly, urgently and accurately, adding that the workshop dealt with the ability of government communication to achieve participation between it and the public. 

He concluded that successful and effective government communication is built on trust and participation.
