Sharjah 24: The Department of Culture (DoC) in the Eastern Region organised, on Tuesday, in Wadi Al Helo, an interactive programme for children, presented by the storyteller Maryam Saeed Al Mazrouei, with the aim of consolidating the popular heritage in the memory of children.

Shamsa Al Mazrouei, Director of DoC's office in Wadi Al Helo, confirmed the department's keenness to provide a variety of cultural, literary and heritage events that serve all segments of society.

In statements to "Sharjah 24", she said that the attendance varied between males and females from 3 to 12 years old, and was well received by the remarkable interaction from children.

She added that such events would familiarise children with inherited customs and traditions, noting the application of all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
