Sharjah24 – Reuters: Fully electric luxury concept cars are the eye catchers at this year's Munich Auto Show where the Mercedes-Maybach EQS, Audi's Grandsphere and the Porsche Mission R stand out.

"Progressive luxury is the key word for the Maybach," Mercedes designer Hanne Ruoff told Reuters TV, adding the result was "absolute high-tech technology with a new aesthetic look."

"Sensor technology" is hidden underneath the so called "seamless" and air tight front which no longer has any edges, Ruoff said as her hands slid around the sleek chassis.

Mercedes-Benz is stepping up the electrification of its fleet, according to Ruoff.

"We offer an electric solution for every segment in order to meet all customer needs - from the Smart, the A-Class to the Maybach. That's the future the way we see it."
