Sharjah24 – Reuters: Carolina Herrera creative director Wes Gordon debuted the brand's latest collection at Manhattan's Upper East Side Thursday (September 9) night, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the New York based house.

Gordon said he was proud to be returning to the Upper East Side, where Herrera first launched her brand, to showcase the latest collection.

"This season obviously because of COVID, we did a much more intimate presentation," said Gordon.

Elegant gowns, elaborate sleeves and classic silhouettes featured prominently in Gordon's latest show. Singer Tinashe and actress Dove Cameron were among the celebrities in attendance.

Gordon says the latest collection celebrates both the return of in-person shows and Herrera's legacy.

"And that is a brand that speaks to powerful, glamorous, fabulous women who recognize and appreciate the transformative power of getting dressed," Gordon said.

"These are clothes for the woman who doesn't want to just disappear and blend in. These are clothes to stand out."

New York Fashion Week will end on September 12.
