SP’s Central Operations Room receives nearly 400,000 calls

Sharjah 24: Colonel Jassim bin Hadda, Director of Operations Department at the Sharjah Police (SP), revealed that the Central Operations Room dealt during the third quarter of 2021 with 394,680 calls across the Emirate, which included general inquiries and police services.
The Director of Operations Department at SP maintained that 341887 calls were received to the number 999 designated for emergency cases, and 25793 calls to the number 901 for non-emergency cases, which included general inquiries and the police services provided. 

The Director of Operations Department noted that all incoming calls were dealt with quickly to ensure speedy transition to the communication site, in coordination with other police departments within the scope of reducing response time.

The Director of Operations Department added that the operations room is working to receive all calls, during which calls are classified according to their importance into emergency and non-emergency calls, taking all necessary measures. 

The Director of Operations Department called on the public not to hesitate to call 999 in the event of any emergency, and to call 901 in non-emergency cases.
