Sharjah Fencing Club crowned champion of AFCC

Sharjah 24: With 211 male and female players representing 12 clubs from 6 Arab countries, the Sharjah Fencing Club (SFC) was crowned champion of the Arab Fencing Clubs Championship, (AFCC) which was hosted by Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled in Sharjah.
The club's champions won 17 medals, including 5 gold, 4 silver, and 8 bronze, in the championship’s two categories, which included the general category and the young category for men and women under the age of 20.

The club's fencing players took first place in the foil and épée weapons, as well as second place in the sabre weapon, in the men's category. In the foil and sabre weapons, the young division took first place, as well as third place in the épée.

On this occasion, His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for His Highness’s unwavering support and ongoing interest in all sports, and expressed His Highness’s delight at the Emirate's hosting of the first Arab Fencing championship.

The Chairman of Sharjah Sports Club, Ali Salem Al Midfa, congratulated the fencing champions on winning the inaugural Arab championship. Al Midfa complimented Sharjah Club's outstanding progress in all games.
