AQU discusses cooperation with Egyptian universities

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Prof. Awad Hussain Al Khalaf, Acting Director of Al Qasimia University (AQU), received in his office at the university’s headquarters in Sharjah, Dr. Muhammad Badri, the Cultural Attaché of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the UAE, and they discussed enhancing cooperation between the two sides with the aim of exchanging academic and practical experiences with Egyptian universities.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Zakaria Nouh, Director of the Office of International Relations and Student Attraction, and Ali Al-Naqbi, Director of Public Relations.

Prof. Dr. Awad Al Khalaf expressed the university's keenness to enhance cooperation and permanent communication between counterparts in the Arab Republic of Egypt and to receive Egyptian students to study in the university's faculties.

Al Khalaf reviewed the university’s development over the years and the approval of programmes by the Ministry of Education within the framework of the great support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and president of Al Qasimia University, to become one of the well-known universities at all local, regional and international levels.

Al Khalaf also gave an overview of the university, the various colleges, the university strategy for the coming years, in addition to the cooperation with all higher education institutions and the scientific agreements with various prestigious universities in the UAE and abroad, and receiving students from different countries.

Dr. Mohamed Badry Badry, the Cultural Attaché of the Arab Republic of Egypt, praised the technological infrastructure, the distinguished educational services provided to students from different countries and the scholarship system provided by Al Qasimia University, stressing the keenness of the cultural mission to work to consolidate constructive cooperation between Al Qasimia University and Egyptian universities in the academic field; as well as inviting Egyptian students to apply to join the five Qasimia faculties, namely the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, the College of Arts and Humanities, the College of Economics and Administration, the College of Communication and the College of the Holy Qur’an.
