Sharjah 24: His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), received on Sunday, at SSC's headquarters, the Argentine football legend and former Inter Milan player Javier Zanetti and the current Vice President of the club.

This came in the presence of His Excellency Abdulmalik Jani, Vice Chairman of SSC. The meeting focused on the role played by SSC in supervising the sports work in the Emirate and its clubs, and the sports sector in general.

During the meeting, His Excellency Al Hazami discussed aspects of future cooperation, and accompanied the guest and the accompanying delegation on a tour that included a visit to the Dibba Al Hisn Cultural and Sports Club, with the joint opening of the club’s medical clinic. In addition, the tour included a second visit to the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club. 

On this occasion, His Excellency Al Hazami indicated that Javier Zanetti's visit to SSC and a number of the Emirate's clubs is within the framework of cooperation, and in the aim of introducing SSC’s role, goals and future aspirations in sports.
 
In turn, Javier Zanetti expressed his admiration for the great interest that sports enjoy in the Emirate of Sharjah.
