“Sharjah Youth” wraps up its virtual “Let’s Summer” camp

Sharjah24: 2500 participants from the age of 13 - 18 years old were involved in the camp during the summer vacation and were a part of this fruitful learning journey that allowed them to unleash their creativity, explore their talents, develop their skills, and gain knowledge through the diverse programs and workshops. The virtual camp was sponsored by Sharjah Broadcasting Authority “The Official Media Sponsor”.
In the interactive session titled “A Meeting with an Entrepreneur”, participants have learned the concept of inspiration, its origin, types, and importance along with other interesting topics in the field on entrepreneurship. The session was delivered by Mohamed Hilal, the CEO of Mohamed Hilal Group and a board member in Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

Mohamed Hilal have also talked about his inspirational success story and gave valuable advice to the participants from his experience in the entrepreneurship world. He talked about how individuals need to pursue their passion and combine it with their talent to achieve goals and be innovative. 

In “Resin Art” workshop that was delivered by Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, participants have learned how to create an exquisite artistic piece with a local twist using resin technique, gold flakes and the traditional Emirati “Farukha”. As well as the history behind the statement “Farukha” piece and how it evolved over time. 

Two workshops were conducted by Sharjah Civil Defense, “Classifications of Fires and Extinguishers” and “Evacuation Instructions and Types” to educate participants about the safety procedures and precautions to follow in case of emergencies, disasters, or fires.

In the “Domestic Tourism” programme that was delivered by Aamal Saad, an Educational and Development Consultant, participants had the chance to visit the most famous tourist attractions and entertainment destinations in Sharjah virtually and learn the traits of a tourist guide and the importance of tourism. 

In “hydroponics” programme that was delivered by Hisham Al Mosoui, participants have how discovered the type of fertilizers and tools used in hydroponics and how to grow seeds in water successfully by experiencing it. 

In “Draw Waves on Wall Clocks Using Resin Art” workshop that was delivered by the artist Bwader Basheer, participants had the chance to simulate waves on clocks using resin and create a dazzling artistic piece.
