Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) has completed the maintenance of 37 swimming pools in various clubs and centers of the emirate, with the aim of providing a healthy environment of the sports facilities for the visitors.

The implementation of the project comes within the framework of the keenness of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to continue supporting youth and sports clubs and developing the sports sector.

Engineer Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SPWD stressed that the Department is supervising the maintenance of 37 swimming pools throughout the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Department, in accordance with the contract it signed with a leading company in this field, supervised the maintenance work, to maintain the safety of its visitors, with accordance to the internationally approved specifications.

Al Suwaidi stated that the maintenance works were conducted in various swimming pools across different centers, including several centers in the central and eastern regions.

He has further highlighted the importance of conducing periodic maintenance to maintain the readiness of the swimming pools, contributing in ensuring the safety of their visitors.
