Sharjah24: The General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Department of Criminal Investigation, organised security awareness lectures in several languages, including Arabic, English and Urdu, targeting 750 taxi drivers in Sharjah, within the (Saher) initiative, at the headquarters of the Officers Club in Sharjah.

The lecture comes as part of the Department’s plans and programs aimed at educating drivers and enhancing the security and safety.

The lectures, delivered by Major Ahmed Al Muhairi, Head of the Crime Prevention Team, tackled a number of important topics, in the presence of a number of officers, non-commissioned officer  and individuals in the administration, with the aim of  combating and reducing the negative phenomena.

The lectures got great feedback from the taxi drivers, who expressed their full readiness to cooperate with the Sharjah Police, expressing their thanks and gratitude for the efforts made by the Sharjah Police in spreading traffic and security awareness.

The (Saher) initiative, which was launched during the first quarter of this year, had the greatest impact in reducing the crime rate in the emirate.
