SIB wins ‘Best Service Performance Brand award’ in Service Scheme

Sharjah24: As a new addition to its long list of appreciation awards, Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) recently won the Best Service Performance Brand award for 2020 in the Smart Services Sector category. The bank was recognized for its social media customer service, quick responses to customers, clear guidelines, and adept problem-solving.
The Dubai Service Excellence Scheme is an initiative of the Dubai Department of Economic Development that recognises businesses in the private sector that adhere to world-class standards of customer service. The one-of-a-kind scheme uses quality and excellence as drivers of business growth in the service industry. 

The Smart Services Sector - for which SIB was recognised - is a category that was recently added to the Scheme. The Scheme receives great competition from various business sectors, industries, and verticals from both local and international brands.

Sharjah Islamic Bank had won the Dubai Service Excellence Program award for the best brand for the year 2019 as well in the services category. SIB has been going strong for many years and has received several awards during the last four years. Its powerful work over the years has culminated in its inclusion in the annual list of Forbes magazine for the 100 most powerful companies in the Middle East in 2021. 

SIB continues to lead the way with exceptional services 

His Excellency Mohamed Abdalla, CEO of Sharjah Islamic Bank, stressed that this latest triumph is the result of the bank’s relentless focus on providing exceptional quality service to its customers. 

His Excellency said that SIB is adding to its weight through expansion, is opening new branches across the country, has a growing network of electronic channels and smart applications, and social networking sites have become important communication tools in this endeavor. 

Social media now makes it easy to reach customers and measure their levels of satisfaction with the bank’s services across the United Arab Emirates.

Best practices in customer service

Sharjah Islamic Bank uses its social networking channels to inform customers about new services, raise awareness about its various ongoing campaigns, and protect them from fraud. 

Customers also use these channels to ask questions and solve any issues that they may be facing. The bank’s social media pages use aesthetically pleasing design and images, and host informative videos in both Arabic and English. A team is designated for social media and offers quick responses to inquiries. The team also provides links for additional information where necessary.

Several prestigious awards in recognition of SIB’s innovative solutions

It is worth noting that the bank has won many prestigious awards in recognition of its innovative solutions and outstanding services. These include The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Innovation Award, the award for leading institutions in the field of job localization in the GCC countries, Wells Fargo Operational Excellence Award 2018-2019, Brokers Excellence Rating - Five Stars, and more recently Global Capital magazine’s Best Financial Institution Deal award, among several others.
