ALECGS board of trustees holds 2021-2022 ninth meeting

Sharjah 24: Arabic Language Educational Centre for Gulf States (ALECGS) in Sharjah an affiliate of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States held the ninth remote meeting of the Centre's Board of Trustees for the current session 2021/2022.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, and His Excellency Counselor Ibrahim Abdullah Alzabin, representative of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States.

The meeting was chaired His Excellency Dr. Eid Al-Dhafiri, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and in presence of His Excellency Dr. Issa Al Hammadi, Chairman of Arabic Language Educational Centre for Gulf States.

His Excellency Dr. Issa Al Hammadi presented the themes of the agenda, reviewed the report on the Centre’s achievements during 2019/2020 session, whereas the report included the Centre’s approved 9 programmes for the previous session 2019/2020; as well as the unaccredited programmes, including 13 new publications, in the field of teaching and learning the Arabic language; 20 conferences and forums, whereas the most prominent was “The Fourth International Arabic Language Conference” in Sharjah.  The report also included remote international Arabic language conference, which was also organised by ALECGS in October 25-27, 2020.  

Al Hammadi also reviewed the training programmes that will be implemented in the member States of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States.

Al Hammadi reviewed the proposed convening of the Fifth International Conference on the Arabic Language in Sharjah, which will be organised by the Centre in January 2022.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Council extended thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his continuous support for the Centre’s progress, and for granting the Centre a fully equipped and furnished building in the University City of Sharjah.
