Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), chaired by Issa Hilal Al Hazami, had its regular meeting on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in the Alqurm Protected Area of Kalba City.

Sharjah International Cycling Tour (Tawaaf) was approved by the council in January 2022, and Abdul Malik Jani, Vice Chairman of the council, was appointed to lead the tour.

Kalba Beach Games 2021 were also addressed at length by the Council.

The meeting discussed the commitments of the Supreme Strategic Plan of the Council to achieve the required goals towards the clubs and enable them to develop their identity, provide them with technical support, improve the quality of sports media performance and provide the necessary consultations for the clubs.

Al Hazami commended the council's work system, departments and committees, and the ongoing development that leads to the achievement of the council's desired goals, as well as the thorough monitoring of all plans and programmes that support the growth of sports in the Emirate of Sharjah.
