Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah issued directives to establish 5 training centers for the Olympic marine sports in the coastal cities of sailing and rowing in the smiling emirate, aiming to promote the practice of marine sports, contributing in enhancing the development of the status of sports in the smiling emirate and sponsoring sports and athletes, with providing all the aids, tools, equipment and distinctive training expertise for these centers.

Commenting on this, His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, has lauded the new and generous gesture of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, highlighting his keenness to enhance the status of the marine sports in the emirate, reflecting His Highness' interest and unlimited efforts to support the sports and athletes in various fields.

His Excellency added that based on the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, the establishment of 5 Olympic marine sports centers for sailing and rowing was approved, with the aim of spreading the culture of practicing marine sports and expanding the base of its practitioners in Sharjah, Al Hamriyah, Kalba, Dibba Al-Hisn and Khorfakkan.

Concluding his comment, His Excellency added that the this grant represents a new shift for marine sports in the smiling emirate, in line with future ambitions for the desired goal.
