Sharjah 24: Colonel Dr. Ali Al Kai Al Hamoudi, Director of the Eastern Region Police Department, commended Sharjah Police General Command for providing officers with unrestricted support and enhancing their role in ensuring community security. He also praised Major General Saif Al-Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, for his support to all departments.

He noted that the seaside city of Khorfakan has had a resurgence in tourism, making it a popular destination for travelers from all over the country on holidays, religious or national days. He explained that since the beginning of the year, no troubling crimes had been reported in the three eastern cities of Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Dibba Al Hisn.

Al Hamoudi appreciated the collaboration and response of many institutions and community entities to the police efforts to battle and control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The police are working to guarantee that all segments of society take the precautionary measures and that tourist and commercial site are thoroughly monitored.

The police are devising in collaboration with the Municipal Council and the Roads and Transport Authority to create and implement effective traffic-congestion-relieving measures.
