Al Mulla: SMA offers alternatives for public during pandemic

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA), on Tuesday organized a virtual dialogue session under the title "The future of museums, recovery and reimagining ... real and virtual challenges at the present time", that coincides with the International Museum Day that is observed on May 18 every year.
Alia Al Mulla, curator of the Sharjah Art Museum, explained that the dialogue session aims to shed light on the most vital issues of significance to society and museums. The session also addressed several topics the most important of which are challenges and innovative best practices in museums, and the tourism and museum sector in particular.

In her exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, Al Mulla indicated that Sharjah museums provided alternative solutions and options for visitors and the public to enjoy the same experience of the previous museum visit, but within precautionary measures, by converting activities, events, visits and tours into virtual ones, explaining that the Sharjah Museums Authority is always looking forward to providing the best services to the public.
